NYSSA sinensis Jim Russell

This is a new tree named after a great plantsman. The autumn colouring is brilliant. Do not plant on chalk but in other soils its autumn showing is probably supreme.

NYSSA sinensis

This is a Chinese tree that has the most stunning deep crimson autumn foliage. This is probably the most attractive of all trees for the autumn. Not suitable for chalk.

NYSSA Jermyn’s Flame

Nyssa tolerate damp soil but does not require it. Avoid trying to grow on chalk. This cultivar has slightly larger leaves that turn spectacular reds, crimson, orange and yellow in the autumn.

NYSSA sylvatica Red Red Wine

The name reflects the sparkling autumn colours that are not only red and scarlet but also the occasional yellow and apricot.

NYSSA sinensis Nyman’s form

This in an attractively shaped tree with the same lovely attributes as the type above.

NYSSA Wisley Bonfire

As its name suggests, the foliage of this tree turns to spectacular scarlets, apricot and yellow during autumn. This is a rare but very desirable tree.
