LIQUIDAMBAR Lane Roberts

This is the most dependable of the liquidambars both in its growth and autumn colouring. In autumn there is a lengthy display of attractive leaves that are a mixture of scarlet and gold suffused with more delicate shades of apricot and salmon.

LIQUIDAMBAR Moonbeam

This is slightly smaller than Lane Roberts. It attracts comment because of its light green foliage that is exquisitely splashed with primrose yellow. The total effect is made even more beautiful by a sprinkling of dark red splodges in mid autumn.

LIQUIDAMBAR Slender Silhouette

This is a stunning fastigiate tree that exhibits coloured autumn foliage associated with liquidambars but takes up far less room. Makes a superb focal point for the garden.

LIQUIDAMBAR Parasol

In contrast to Slender Silhouette this tree is relatively low growing – about 8 to 10 feet high. Its branches flow over in the shape of a parasol. Brilliantly coloured, its inticate branching makes a natural den and hiding place for young children.

LIQUIDAMBAR orientalis

The smallest and neatest of this species, the oriental gum has much smaller leaves than other species and relatively slow growing.
